Manitoba Local Government’s mission is to support Manitobans in building healthy, safe, sustainable and productive neighbourhoods and communities. The Department provides leadership and works collaboratively with urban, rural and northern communities to ensure they are places of opportunity. The Department’s clients include individuals, local governments and community organizations. The Department establishes a legislative, financial, planning and policy framework that supports democratic, accountable, effective and financially efficient local government and the sustainable development of our communities.
